Injury rehabilitation
Injuries to joints or muscles are common. They can occur from an accident, a fall, a sports injury or just appear gradually from chronic overuse or bad posture.
The role of a personal trainer usually starts when you are in the completion stage of your physiotherapy programme. Fractures, sprains and strains can take months to heal fully. However, they can heal faster and more completely if an adequate injury rehabilitation exercise programme is applied. Unfortunately, many people make the mistake of neglecting any further rehabilitation exercise at this stage. This can lead to chronic limitations in range of motion, strength and mobility of their joint.
Also, you should not wait until your injury is completely healed to start exercising again! Most people shy away from exercise when their back or joints are in pain. Sure, some rest is required after injury, but the sooner you get moving again, the quicker you will allow your joint to return to full function. You just need to make sure you do the right kind of exercise!
We specialise in injury rehabilitation exercise programmes for the back as well as for other joints such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles.
